Indiana offensive lineman Kahlil Benson made a major move late Saturday night by announcing he was transferring to Colorado.

The 6-foot-6, 310-pound former Hoosier brings a lot of experience for Deion Sanders and the Buffs. The junior played all 12 games and only allowed one sack with nearly 800 snaps this year. A two-year starter who missed the 2020 season with a torn ACL.

Benson committed to Indiana as a three-star recruit from Southaven, Mississippi in the class of 2020. He was ranked as a top 50 offensive guard nationally. This is the fourth offensive line commitment for Colorado during a huge visitor weekend in Boulder. Benson joins UConn's Yakiri Walker, Houston's Tyler Johnson, and UTEP's Justin Mayers. The Buffs also snagged NC State wide receiver Terrell Timmons Jr., who will be a nice addition to a stacked position.

Buffs offensive line coach Phil Loadholt boosted his troops immediately with all of them having experience. It's a top priority to build a better group that is protecting Shedeur Sanders as the Buffaloes allowed a record 56 sacks last year. They also failed to have a 100-yard rusher in any of the 12 contests last season.

Benson comes to Colorado with two years of eligibility remaining.
