Juwan Mitchell appears to have found a new home. The 6-foot-2, 220 linebacker, who originally committed to Texas before transferring to Tennessee and then Arizona State, was wearing a CU jersey at practice on Friday.

As first reported by Well Off Media, Mitchell comes to Colorado after earning a starting spot at his previous two stops. The Middletown, New Jersey native started at Butler Community College in Kansas before heading to Texas in 2020. He has recorded 33 career games with 21 starts in his career.

As a member of the Longhorns, he collected 101 total tackles (eight for loss), three sacks, five pass breakups, and a fumble recovery. He was also the Vols’ leading tackler for three straight games last season.

Mitchell spent a short period of time at ASU. He'll be in his final season with Colorado and looking to earn time in the starting rotation.
