No. 22 Colorado took care of Nebraska with a 36-14 win at Folsom Field on Saturday. It was a masterful job by Shedeur Sanders who led the Buffs with 393 yards and three total touchdowns. Here are three takeaways from CU's big rivalry victory over the Huskers.

Shedeur Sanders is truly elite

Colorado's tight end coach Tim Brewster told the media during Fall Camp that they were having to catch up to the level 'SS2' was at and he was in a class of his own. Two games into the season and no lies detected. Sanders put on a show in Fort Worth and followed it up with nearly 400 passing yards in the Buffs home opener. What's impressive is the next-level thought process Shedeur goes through in his reads. He'll scan the entire field without jumping to conclusions on a play and is extremely smart about his decision-making ability.

That comes from being a "Student of the game" with many NFL mentors, but it's a different business approach for Sanders. He'll be one of the best in CU history after this year.

CU's defense is about P.S.T. (Pressures, Sacks, Turnovers)

The Buffaloes defense has played great thus far. It's a well-disciplined unit for Charles Kelly and the results are starting to show on the stat sheet. They forced three turnovers against Nebraska QB Jeff Sims in the first half, which helped CU take a 13-0 halftime lead. Jordan Domineck recovered a fumble that set up the Buffs first scoring drive. He also had a few huge tackles for loss on the day.

Nebraska stayed away from Travis Hunter

Huskers coach Matt Rhule watched what Travis Hunter did to TCU's offense and wanted no part of the two-way stud. The Huskers mostly avoided his side of the field and it was evident Hunter was out on his island with little-to-no visitors. In reality, it was for the best because he is HIM. Hunter would've sent Sims to the bench early due to some bad decisions. He'll catch one or two of the next opposing QB's off-guard and have a field day.

Colorado stays home for a Rocky Mountain Showdown matchup with CSU next Saturday at 10 p.m. ET (TV: ESPN) Both Fox Big Noon Pregame and ESPN GameDay will be live from Boulder.
