Deion Sanders landed another offensive lineman on Saturday.

UConn's Yakiri Walker announced he would be transferring to Colorado. The 6-foot-2, 275-pound Walker played over 800 snaps for the Huskies last year. He was in Boulder as part of a large visitor group this weekend and made it official.

Walker is originally a three-star recruit from DeSoto, Texas, and comes from the same high school as former CU standout Laviska Shenault. He was a first-team all-district football and baseball player at DeSoto. Another two-sport athlete for Sanders and the Buffs.

This move gives new offensive line coach Phil Loadholt depth across the entire line. Walker has started at multiple positions and was most-recently at center, but has a clear understanding of how to be effective at any spot.

Colorado had a total six offensive lineman who are currently in the transfer portal on campus. A majority of those were coming from Houston and Indiana.

Walker redshirted as a freshman and comes to CU with two years of eligibility left.
