Colorado adds JUCO QB transfer Gavin Kuld
The Colorado Buffaloes now have another QB in the mix. Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College transfer Gavin Kuld announced he's coming to CU on Wednesday.
This commitment gives the Buffaloes another backup option to Shedeur Sanders, who will forgo this year's Manning Passing Academy.
Kuld becomes the fifth QB on the roster with Sanders, Kasen Weisman, Ryan Staub, and Colton Allen. They're all ahead of Buffs future commit Danny O'Neil. The Indy QB shined at Nike's Elite 11 camp last week.
"There were a couple major factors on why I chose CU," Kuld told BuffsBeat.
"A great coaching staff with unmatched team chemistry. The work ethic and competitive nature with high standards was also key. Not to mention, Boulder is amazing. Being able to compete in the Pac-12 has always been the dream for me. I see a very bright future for our program"
A well-traveled prospect, Kuld played at two JUCOs over the past two years. The 6-foot-6, 215-pound Pro-Style Quarterback from Salisbury, NC was unrated out of high school with no division I offers. A two-sport athlete as a baseball pitcher. Kuld also played one game at defensive end in the NC HS Playoffs.
