According to a tweet from On3's Joe Tipton on Sunday evening, Virginia transfer Kadin Shedrick visited the Duke basketball program on Saturday.

Shedrick, a 6-foot-11, 230-pound center who ranked No. 68 overall on the 247Sports 2019 Composite as a four-star recruit, also informed Tipton that his options are down to five schools. That list includes the Blue Devils, of course, along with Kansas State, Missouri, Texas, and Xavier.

However, it'll likely be more than a week until the redshirt junior, now with two years of eligibility remaining, decides on his destination. After all, as Tipton noted, the agile big man has scheduled trips to check out Texas in person on April 18 and Missouri the following day.

The report comes less than one week after CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein tweeted that Shedrick was receiving interest from first-year Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer and his staff.

This past season, Kadin Shedrick, a potential replacement down low in Durham for NBA-bound freshman center Dereck Lively II, started 15 of the 30 games he played for the Cavaliers.

He averaged 6.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks while shooting 64.7 percent from the field and 79.4 percent from the foul line. And he compiled those stats in only 17.5 minutes per game.

Although the transfer portal is stacked with countless valuable weapons at every position, Kadin Shedrick, a native of nearby Holly Springs, N.C., now looks like the Duke basketball coaches' best chance to land a new quality big man for next season (perhaps for the season after that as well).
