Duke basketball star Kyle Filipowski reveals secret Twitter account
Not only is Duke basketball forward Kyle Filipowski watching the transfer portal, but the reigning ACC Rookie of the Year, who will return to the Blue Devils for a sophomore campaign and should be a preseason All-American, is "Transfer Portal Watch."
On Tuesday morning, in hopes of earning an "A++" in one of his classes, Filipowski used his personal Twitter account to request more followers for his "school project" Twitter account. By doing so, he implied that he's been behind the portal-tracking tweets.
The account has been active since April 3. At the time of this article's publishing, it has more than 400 followers.
It includes rankings of available big-name talents in the transfer portal, not to mention a few predicted landing spots, pats on his own back for previous correct predictions, and some assessments of how transfers who have already announced their decisions will fit into their new programs.
Although the 19-year-old 7-footer did not specify what the account must achieve to receive his desired grade, he seems to be putting in a solid effort as an informed portal tracker.
Perhaps behind the scenes, Kyle Filipowski is helping Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer and his cohorts decide which players to consider as they potentially look to put the finishing touch or two on next season's roster via this route.

However, the account does not contain much intel on Duke's pursuits.
Its only mention of transfer target Kadin Shedrick, an agile big man who played three seasons at Virginia and now plans to visit the Blue Devils for a second time at the end of April, is a retweet of his recently announced finalists: Duke, Kansas State, Missouri, Texas, and Xavier.
Nevertheless, even if only to offer academic support to arguably the Blue Devils' top returning talent in more than a decade, Duke basketball fans should give Kyle "Transfer Portal Watch" Filipowski a follow.
