LOOK: Big 2024 Recruit Puts on Duke Basketball Jersey

The Duke basketball staff's current visitor appears to be enjoying himself.

Sometimes, official visits to the Duke basketball program yield commitments shortly after their conclusions. That was the case with the staff's latest commit, North Meck (N.C.) five-star small forward Isaiah Evans, a 2024 recruit who announced his decision to play for the Blue Devils less than two weeks after his trip to Durham in April.

So perhaps Duke fans should be on commitment watch for Paul VI Catholic (Va.) four-star center Patrick Ngongba II, who has shed 30 pounds in the last year and now ranks No. 48 overall on the 247Sports 2024 Composite.

The 6-foot-11, 235-pound ascending talent is on a two-day official visit with the Blue Devils this weekend. And similar to Evans, Ngongba's family posted pictures of him posing in a Blue Devil jersey while standing in Cameron Indoor Stadium's hype room:

His mother, Tajama Ngongba, also posted an Instagram Stories video of them eating a hibachi dinner on what appears to be the driveway outside Duke basketball head coach Jon Scheyer's house.

While most of next season's Blue Devils won't arrive on campus until next week, it looks as though returning starting guard Tyrese Proctor and reserve guard Jaylen Blakes were on hand to help the coaches recruit Ngongba to Duke. They were sitting next to him at the dinner, along with Scheyer.

Nevertheless, the 247Sports Crystal Ball for Patrick Ngongba II still contains zero predictions. Meanwhile, it's worth noting that the lightfooted bruiser has scheduled an official visit to UConn beginning on Monday.

Furthermore, he has not indicated a timeline for his decision. But it's been only two weeks since the Blue Devils extended an offer.

As things stand, Evans and Ngongba's teammate, Paul VI Catholic four-star small forward Darren Harris, are the only members of Duke basketball's 2024 recruiting haul.
