Duke Basketball Recruiting: Boozer Twins Wear Blue Devil Gear
The outcome of the Duke basketball game that 2025 targets Cayden Boozer and Cameron Boozer attended, Friday night's 78-73 loss to Arizona, which gave Jon Scheyer his first defeat in Cameron Indoor Stadium as a head coach, could have been better for the Blue Devil recruiters.
But there was more to come in the heralded Boozer twins' weekend official visit.
It was only the fourth official visit in their recruitments, as the sons of former Duke basketball national champion and two-time NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer previously checked out Kentucky, Florida, and Miami this fall.
And on Sunday evening, Carlos Boozer's three-year Blue Devil teammate (1999-02), electric guard Jay Williams, whose No. 22 forever hangs from Cameron's rafters, chimed in with his thoughts on where he thinks Cayden Boozer, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound crafty guard ranked No. 17 on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, should attend college.
Williams commented on Cayden Boozer's Instagram pictures: "Come home, brother!!!"
Note that the first seven photos in the above post are of only Cayden Boozer in the locker room and wearing the Blue Devils' special "Brotherhood" jersey on Coach K Court. The last pic shows both Cayden and Cameron Boozer (named after Cameron Indoor Stadium) wearing the jerseys while pointing to their mom in a Blue Devil jacket:
When this article was published, Cameron Boozer, a 6-foot-9, 235-pound forward ranked No. 2 among the nation's high school juniors, had not posted his Duke visit pics to Instagram.
Cayden and Cameron Boozer, who star at Columbus High School in Miami, have yet to reveal finalists. Although seemingly unlikely, neither twin has ruled out the possibility of attending different schools.
