Duke Basketball: Top-Ranked Center Lands Offer From Jon Scheyer
Kokomo (Ind.) center Flory Bidunga began a three-day official visit to the Duke basketball program on Tuesday. But the 6-foot-9, 220-pound five-star, No. 4 overall and No. 1 among big men on the 247Sports 2024 Composite, did not hold an offer upon his arrival in Durham.
That's no longer the case, as Bidunga announced his offer from the Blue Devils via a tweet late Wednesday night.
He's the second 2024 center to end up on the Duke basketball offer sheet within the past few weeks. The other is Paul VI Catholic (Va.) four-star Patrick Ngongba, who took an official visit with the Blue Devils earlier this month and, like Bidunga, remains undecided in his recruitment.

As for Flory Bidunga's recruitment, it looks like Jon Scheyer and his gang entered the mix in time to become bonafide contenders.
After having already taken official visits to Auburn, Florida, Kansas, and Michigan, the Congo native hopes to decide on a college destination in the next six weeks, sometime before the start of his senior year of high school.
And he has said he'd like to take an official visit to home-state hopeful Indiana before then.
Bidunga, a nimble bruiser who has drawn comparisons to former Kentucky star Oscar Tshiebwe, has not named finalists. However, it's worth noting he recently eliminated Kentucky from the race.
Meanwhile, the Blue Devils boast commitments from two top-65 prospects in the 2024 recruiting cycle: North Meck (N.C.) five-star small forward Isaiah Evans and Paul VI Catholic four-star small forward Darren Harris.
