Duke Basketball: Powerful Prep Plans to Visit Blue Devils

The Duke basketball staff's pursuit of five-star forward Caleb Wilson continues.

Caleb Wilson has yet to schedule a Duke basketball visit. But according to his father's recent chat with Adam Zagoria, the Holy Innocents Episcopal School (Ga.) standout plans to be in Durham to visit the Blue Devils at some point.

Last week, Wilson, a 6-foot-10, 205-pound forward who ranks fifth overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite and has been on Duke's offer sheet since July, canceled a visit to UNC to "rest and recharge" for the start of his junior prep campaign, his dad told Zagoria.

That rest paid off, as he nearly recorded a quadruple-double (19 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, seven blocks) in his team's season opener. Then, on Saturday night, the chiseled, bouncy five-star delivered a 27-point, 20-rebound performance in front of his home crowd, leading Holy Innocents Episcopal to a 2-0 start:

Thus far, Caleb Wilson has visited Kentucky, Tennessee, Stanford, Auburn, Alabama, and most recently, hometown hopeful Georgia Tech.

Although there has been limited news regarding Jon Scheyer's pursuit of Wilson in recent months, the fact he is still eyeing a trip to check out the Blue Devils suggests the mutual interest remains.

Duke basketball has eight other 2025 targets, including two more top-five forwards: Columbus (Fla.) five-star Cameron Boozer, ranked second in the class, and Perry (Ariz.) five-star Koa Peat, sitting fourth overall.

Scheyer and his crew boast the top-ranked 2024 collection. They've yet to snag their first 2025 prize.
