Duke basketball recruiting: Sharpshooting prep coming to UNC game
Paul VI Catholic (Va.) small forward Darren Harris will be on an unofficial visit to the Duke basketball program on Saturday, 247Sports' Travis Branham reported on Wednesday afternoon. The heralded 2024 sharpshooter has already committed to the Blue Devils, but he can't sign his national letter of intent until the fall.

Although there's no reason to believe Harris would back out of his commitment, it doesn't hurt for him to get an extra dose of the Cameron Indoor Stadium atmosphere, especially considering the heightened excitement this weekend.
Harris, a 6-foot-6, 195-pound four-star who ranks No. 53 overall on the 247Sports 2024 Composite, will likely be behind the Duke bench when the Blue Devils (16-6, 7-4 ACC) host their archrival UNC Tar Heels (15-7, 7-4 ACC) at 6:30 p.m. ET Saturday.
Furthermore, one would think there's a strong possibility he'll attend the College GameDay festivities on Saturday morning.

His official visit in October — he announced his commitment a week later — was before this season began. However, he has attended other games in Durham, watching two other Paul VI products play for the Blue Devils: recent one-and-done guard Trevor Keels and current junior captain Jeremy Roach.
Thus far, Darren Harris is the only Duke basketball prize in the 2024 recruiting arena.
