Duke basketball signee posts huge double-double against Bronny James

Future Duke basketball playmaker Caleb Foster appeared to be on a mission.

Notre Dame (Calif.) combo guard Caleb Foster was one of the biggest snubs when the McDonald's All-American selections came out last week. This week, the 2023 Duke basketball prize had a chance to show off his skills against a player who earned the honor at his position, Sierra Canyon (Calif.) star Bronny James, son of LeBron James.

And Foster delivered. He did so to the tune of 20 points and 16 rebounds in Notre Dame's 88-61 blowout home win over Sierra Canyon on Wednesday night.

As one can see in the highlights below, the 6-foot-5, 190-pound five-star playmaker, who ranks No. 17 overall on the 247Sports 2023 Composite, displayed his "Steph Curry range" a few times, not to mention his aggressive yet smooth drives to the basket:

Bronny James, a four-star uncommitted prospect who ranks No. 33 in the class, was playing his first game since missing five outings with a knee injury. He finished with a team-high 19 points.

Duke basketball's five 2023 signees are Caleb Foster, Centennial (Calif.) five-star combo guard Jared McCain, Roselle Catholic (N.J.) five-star small forward Mackenzie Mgbako, Worcester Academy (Mass.) five-star power forward TJ Power, and Montverde Academy (Fla.) five-star power forward Sean Stewart.

The class ranks No. 2 behind Kentucky's five-deep haul, even though only four of those future Wildcats boast a five-star composite rating.
