Giant Duke Basketball Target Announces Final Four, Decision Nears

Kokomo (Ind.) center Flory Bidunga visited the Duke basketball program in mid-June, showing off his Blue Devil threads afterward. Around the time he was on campus, the 6-foot-9, 220-pound five-star, No. 4 overall on the 247Sports 2024 Composite, revealed his offer from second-year head coach Jon Scheyer.
And Duke coaches have been at seemingly almost every one of Bidunga's games on the grassroots circuit ever since.

Now, despite being relatively late to the race, Scheyer and his gang have landed in the final four for Bidunga, an explosive big man from the Democratic Republic of the Congo who boasts loads of untapped potential after playing basketball for only a few years.
His other three finalists are Auburn, Kansas, and Michigan.

Meanwhile, he's noted several times that his recruitment is now in its home stretch. So it wouldn't be surprising if Bidunga picks a winner later this month.
At the time of this article's publishing, his 247Sports Crystal Ball sits empty.
Flory Bidunga isn't the only recent 2024 Duke basketball offer recipient who has advanced the Blue Devils to the final stage of his recruitment. The other, Paul VI Catholic (Va.) four-star Patrick Ngongba II, a 6-foot-11, 235-pound agile bruiser, also visited the school in June, less than two weeks after receiving the offer.
Ngongba's finalists are Duke, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Providence, and UConn.
