Youngstown State DE Andres Lehrmann Commits To Montana

Former Youngstown State defensive end Andres Lehrmann announced his transfer to Montana on Jan. 14. He will have one year of eligibility remaining for the Grizzlies as a graduate transfer.

Lehrmann spent five seasons at Youngstown State and saw action in 40 games for the Penguins. He recorded 59 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, and one forced fumble. He was a key piece for a defense that ranked Top-10 nationally in third-down defense and rushing defense. 

Lehrmann signed with Youngstown State out of Doral, Florida in the class of 2019. He was an All-Dade County Class 8A-6A honorable mention as a senior. 

Texas Southern QB Andrew Body Transfers To Alabama State

Former Texas Southern quarterback Andrew Body announced his commitment to Alabama State on Jan. 12. He will have two years of eligibility for the Hornets.

Body completed 56.7% of his passes for 4,108 passing yards and 27 passing touchdowns while rushing for over 1,200 yards and nine rushing touchdowns over two full seasons at Texas Southern. He earned preseason second-team All-SWAC honors last season but only played one game due to injury. He holds the single-season record for total offense per game (265.9 YPG).

Body ranks third all-time in Texas High School football history with over 13,000 yards passing and was named a finalist for Mr. Texas Football High School Player of the Year. He finished his senior season with 4,389 passing yards and 47 passing touchdowns. 

Stephen F. Austin Lands Former Tennessee State WR Canen Adrian

Former Tennessee State wide receiver Canen Adrian announced his commitment to Stephen F. Austin on Jan. 14. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound wide receiver will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Adrian played one season at Tennessee State, recording six receptions for 66 receiving yards and one touchdown in 2023. He signed with the Tigers after one season at Blinn College. He saw action in nine games, totaling 338 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns. 

Adrian signed with Houston out of Kingwood, Texas but did not see any action as a true freshman for the Cougars. He will join a talented wide receiver core for the Lumberjacks, led by Kylon Harris and Lawton Rikel. 

Former Wisconsin QB Myles Burkett Commits To UAlbany

Former Wisconsin quarterback Myles Burkett announced his commitment to UAlbany on Jan. 8. He will have three years of eligibility remaining for the Great Danes. 

Burkett announced his entry into the transfer portal on Nov. 29 after two seasons with the Badgers. He saw action in two games during the 2022 season, completing four passes for 84 passing yards. 

The 6-foot, 202-pound quarterback signed with Wisconsin as a three-star prospect out of Franklin, Wisconsin. He completed 71.3% of his passes for 3,427 passing yards, 36 passing touchdowns, and four interceptions as a senior. Burkett was named the Wisconsin AP and Gatorade Player of the Year in 2021.
