3-Star WR Marquawn McCraney Commits To Idaho

Three-star wide receiver Marquawn McCraney announced his commitment to Idaho on Sunday. He committed to the Vandals over offers from Arizona, Oregon State, USC, Utah, Washington, and Washington State.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide receiver is from Highline High School in Burien, Washington. McCraney is the No. 889 overall prospect and No. 93 safety in the class of 2024. He ranks as the No. 2 safety and No. 12 player in the state of Washington, according to the 247Sports composite rankings

He played both ways for Highline High School but is expected to play wide receiver for the Vandals. Over his final two seasons, McCraney recorded 53 receptions for 1,290 receiving yards and 21 receiving touchdowns. 

Howard OL Anim Dankwah Accepts Invite To NFL Combine

Howard offensive lineman Anim Dankwah has officially received an invite to the NFL Scouting Combine. He is currently participating in the East-West Shrine Bowl in Frisco, Texas. The news was first reported by Gerald Huggins of DraftHBCU.

Dankwah is a three-time All-MEAC selection and earned HBCU All-American honors in back-to-back seasons. He played in 33 career games for the Bison and helped lead Howard to a share of the MEAC title in back-to-back seasons. 

In over 2,200 career snaps, Dankwah only allowed 12 sacks and finished his career with a 96.9 pass-blocking efficiency. The 6-foot-8, 362-pound offensive tackle is looking to become the first player from Howard to be selected in the NFL Draft since 2006. He would also become the first offensive tackle since 2003 to be drafted out of Howard.

Illinois State TE Cam Grandy Accepts Invite To Shrine Bowl

Illinois State tight end Cam Grandy earned an invite to the East-West Shrine Bowl. He earned an invite after a stellar performance in the Hula Bowl and will join South Dakota State tight end Zach Heins on the West team. 

Grandy was a consensus first-team FCS All-American in his only season with the Redbirds. He was also named the MVFC All-Newcomer Team and earned first-team All-Conference honors. He finished the season with 63 receptions for 612 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns. Grandy led all tight ends and ranked No. 10 in the MVFC in receiving yards. 

Grandy started his career at the Division II level at Missouri Western, playing four seasons with the Griffons. In 31 career games, Grandy recorded 601 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns. He earned second-team All-MIAA honors in 2022 and was named an honorable mention in 2019 as a sophomore.
