Former Oklahoma offensive lineman Marcus Hicks announced his commitment to South Dakota State on Monday. He entered the portal as a graduate transfer before the 2023 season.

Over four seasons at Oklahoma, Hicks saw action in three games. He played in a reserve role against UTEP and Nebraska during the 2022 season. Hicks missed the 2020 season due to injury and redshirted as a true freshman in 2019.

The 6-foot-6, 302-pound offensive lineman signed with the Sooners as a four-star prospect out of Wichita, Kansas in the class of 2019. He ranked as the No. 374 overall prospect and No. 3 player in Kansas, according to the 247Sports composite rankings

Hicks was a highly-recruited defensive lineman but switched positions ahead of the 2021 season. He recorded 84 total tackles, 26 tackles for loss, and seven sacks as a senior at Northwest High School.
