SG Isaiah Brown Officially Signs with Florida Gators
Longtime Florida Gators pledge Isaiah Brown made his commitment official as he signed his National Letter of Intent with the program on Wednesday.
The Orlando (Fla.) Christian Prep product is the lone member of Todd Golden's 2024 recruiting class at this stage. He stands as the No. 113 overall player in the country and No. 21 rated shooting guard in the cycle.
Standing at 6-foot-5, 185 pounds, Brown has showcased a promising two-way skillset from his shooting guard spot while at the prep level. His nuanced repertoire as a scorer drew the intrigue of the Gators when they extended him an offer in January.
As the rapport between the two parties grew, Brown became a priority target for UF. The Orlando product reciprocated the interest and locked down his recruitment with Florida five months later on May 14.
To the delight of the staff in Gainesville, he hasn’t wavered.
“We are thrilled to welcome Isaiah into our basketball program here at the University of Florida,” Golden said about the signee. “He’s an exceptional young man who possesses many of the qualities we look for when we recruit. First and foremost, he’s a winner that has been successful in every setting we’ve evaluated him in. He is a leader and has an infectious personality that unites his teams.
“As a player, he’s a relentless attacker of the rim in transition and has a knack for making winning plays on both ends. We are really happy to add him to our team.”
Possessing an increasingly dynamic offensive prowess — highlighted by his ability to create shots for himself and others while sporting a fluid left-handed shooting stroke — Brown will further aid Golden and Co.’s quest to bolster the team’s scoring production through the backcourt.
When he arrives at the collegiate level, Brown has the versatility to serve as a traditional guard or slide to the wing, depending on the team’s need.

While he is currently the lone prospect committed to the Gators this cycle, Florida doesn’t intend to be done on the recruiting trail. The Gators will remain steadfast in their talent acquisition efforts until the final National Signing Day period on Feb. 7.
Two top 10 players, center Jayden Quaintance and guard VJ Edgecombe, align as the two pieces Florida will pursue the hardest to add next to Brown in the 2024 cycle.
