Florida vs. No. 6 Tennessee: Tip-Off Time, Broadcast Details Changed
Due to winter weather conditions in Knoxville, Tenn., Florida's contest against SEC foe Tennessee on Tuesday has been moved forward from 7 p.m. ET to 5 p.m. ET, the league announced Monday night.
Accordingly, the game will now be aired on ESPN2 and the ESPN app, per the network.
With conference losses already on Florida and Tennessee's resume, this matchup is crucial for each squad.
The Gators are freshly removed from their first victory in conference play, dominating the Arkansas Razorbacks in Gainesville to post a tally in the win column following two disheartening losses to begin the SEC slate.
Regaining positive momentum was crucial for Florida in its recent outing, as an 18-point defeat to Ole Miss had the potential to derail the program's previously promising campaign.
Now, Florida is faced with a true road game for just the third time this season. It will arguably be the most challenging regular-season task Todd Golden and Co. will face in 2023-24.Â
Tennessee, meanwhile, is coming off an upset scare versus former Gators head coach Mike White's Georgia team in Athens. The Volunteers used a 15-1 run in the final 4:49 to down the Dawgs 85-79 on the road, thus avoiding their second straight loss following their upset defeat at the hands of Mississippi State on Wednesday.
Florida aims to topple the highly-ranked Tennessee squad for the second year in a row, while the Vols aim for revenge on the Gators in front of the Rocky Top faithful.
