Watch: Observations From Gators Basketball's Fourth Open Practice
Florida basketball took to the hardwood on Wednesday for its fourth open practice this preseason in preparation for the 2023-24 campaign.
Lead Reporter Brandon Carroll, who attended the period for All Gators, offered in-depth observations in the video above. Topics include the importance Florida's roster construction and a standout performer from the session.
Florida is undergoing immense turnover heading into Golden's second year in charge of the program. Guards Zyon Pullin and Walter Clayton Jr. highlight the newly constructed backcourt, while Micah Handlogten, Tyrese Samuel, Alex Condon and EJ Jarvis will fill critical roles in the frontcourt.
Jarvis, an athletic stretch-four prospect from Yale, is on personal leave. The timeline for his return is unknown at this time.
Guard Kajus Kublickas and forward Thomas Haugh round out the new additions.
They join the four scholarship players returning from a season ago: Riley Kugel, Will Richard, Denzel Aberdeen and Aleks Szymczyk.
On Wednesday, the unit displayed the intangibles and skillsets from top to bottom needed to operate Golden's system on both ends of the floor at an effective clip. Learn about Florida's personnel makeup and more via Carroll's Cadence.
