Two-time national champion, Heisman trophy winner and 2023 College Football Hall of Fame electee Tim Tebow will be jointly honored by Florida and the National Football Foundation on in The Swamp as the Florida Gators host the No. 4 Florida State Seminoles.

Tebow compiled a litany of records, honors and accolades during his four-year stint in Gainesville, etching his name into history as one of the great college football players of all time statistically.

Accounting for 9,285 yards, 88 touchdowns and 16 interceptions passing along with 2,947 yards and 57 rushing touchdowns, the Jacksonville, Fla., native shined as an uber-productive dual-threat option behind center for head coach Urban Meyer en route to two national championship victories and a Sugar Bowl victory over four years.

The recognition for his talent and output was aplenty, as Tebow earned consensus first-team All-American honors in 2007 — also receiving the Heisman Trophy and Davey O’Brien Award. He repeated as the Maxwell Award Recipient in 2007 and 2008, becoming just the second player in college football history to do so.

The aforementioned accomplishments are only a snapshot of his career success at Florida, with several other notable honors coming his way from 2006 to 2009.

He went on to be drafted 25th overall by the Denver Broncos in the 2010 NFL Draft.

He was inducted into the Florida Football Ring of Honor in 2018 as a result of his contributions to the two national championships he contributed to during his stint at UF and became a University of Florida Hall of Famer in 2020.

With Tebow in the building, the Gators will look to snap a four-game skid and pull off an improbable upset over College Football Playoff-contending Seminoles to earn bowl eligibility.

Kickoff for the contest is set for 7 p.m. ET.
