Final Florida Gators Injury Report vs. South Carolina
COLUMBIA, S.C. -- In addition to the five players ruled out of Week 7 by Florida on its Wednesday injury report — wide receivers Caleb Douglas, Andy Jean and Thai Chiaokhiao-Bowman, tight end Jonathan Odom and center Kingsley Eguakun — the Gators will also be without tight end Dante Zanders against South Carolina on Saturday.
Zanders did not appear to travel with the team and was not observed on the field during Florida's pre-game warmups. The redshirt senior tight end, who was deemed questionable by the Gators on Wednesday, will miss his third consecutive contest while recovering from a lower-body injury.
Redshirt freshmen Hayden Hansen and Arlis Boardingham will continue to occupy starting roles at each of Florida's tight end positions against South Carolina. Boardingham leads UF pass-catchers in touchdown receptions this season with three.
In total, Florida's active travel roster for Week 7 was comprised of 71 of a possible 74 players. Nine walk-ons — quarterback Parker Leise, running back Eddie Battle, wide receivers Taylor Spierto and Zak Sedaros, tight end Scott Isacks, offensive lineman Hayden Clem, cornerback Javion Toombs, safety Cahron Rackley and long snapper Gannon Burt — made the trip.
Injured Gators, running back Cam Carroll and edge rusher Justus Boone, also traveled with the team to Columbia. Both players are out for the season.
Sophomore scholarship safety Kamari Wilson, notably, was not on Florida's Week 7 travel roster. He did not join the Gators in Lexington, Ky. for their matchup with Kentucky in Week 5, either.
Kickoff between the Gators and the Gamecocks is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET.
