Jeremy Crawshaw, entering his third year as the Florida Gators' full-time starting punter, earned his way onto the Ray Guy Award Watch List Wednesday.

The honor is awarded annually to the best punter in college football.

Crawshaw's been a mainstay on the Gators' special teams unit over the past two seasons, combining for over 87 punts, 3,971 total yards and 45.6 yards per punt on average in 26 appearances.

He burst onto the scene in 2021, taking over the spot's starting duties after seeing time sparingly in his true freshman season, to post career highs in punts (52), total yards (2,293) and long (69).

Crawshaw built on the impressive redshirt freshman campaign with his performance in 2022, adding over three yards to his average yards per punt, nearly eclipsing the 48-yard mark on average. He also produced 13 punts of more than 50 yards, including a season-long of 67 yards against South Carolina. Two punts landed inside the 20-yard line.

Simultaneously, the Australian took on leadership responsibilities within the Florida locker room, serving on the leadership committee in Billy Napier's first season at UF. He'll look to further build on his role on and off the field in 2023.

Former Gators punter Chas Henry is the lone Florida representative to take home the Ray Guy Award in its history, winning it in 2010. Henry also placed as a semifinalist (2008) and finalist (2009) during his career. He's joined by Eric Wilbur (semifinalist; 2005), Kyle Christy (finalist; 2012), Johnny Townsend (semifinalist; 2015 and 2016) and Tommy Townsend (semifinalist; 2018 and 2019).
