Former Florida OL Transferring to NC State

Former Florida offensive lineman Yousef Mugharbil is transferring to North Carolina State from Colorado, Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports reported on Thursday.
Mugharbil will "start out" as a walk-on with his home-state Wolfpack, per Zenitz, suggesting the possibility that he could eventually be awarded a scholarship as he was by the Gators and Buffaloes.
A native of Murphy, N.C., Mugharbil committed to and signed with Florida in the recruiting class of 2021 as a consensus four-star prospect, regarded then as the No. 37 interior offensive lineman in the country. He picked the Gators over 15 other scholarship offers from programs such as Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, South Carolina and North Carolina.
Mugharbil did not appear in a game across two seasons at UF, though. He was sidelined for most of his true freshman season in 2021 after a traffic collision in which his motorized scooter crashed into a semi-truck.
However, Mugharbil miraculously returned to the practice field before Florida's Gasparilla Bowl appearance later that year, following a quick recovery from his injuries.
"After what he’s been through seeing [Mugharbil] in pads the last two days has been one of the greatest things I’ve seen," former Gators interim offensive line coach Mike Sollenne said in Dec. 2021 tweet. "Proud of you, the best is ahead of you."
Mugharbil entered the NCAA transfer portal following his redshirt freshman season, on Dec. 5, 2022. He committed to Colorado on Jan. 7, 2023, and joined the Buffaloes for spring practice.
He re-entered the transfer portal on April 26, however, one of several dozens of players to leave Colorado under new head coach Deion Sanders' leadership, including several fellow spring 2023 transfer acquisitions.
Former Florida offensive tackle David Conner, a rising redshirt freshman, announced his transfer commitment to Colorado days after Mugharbil left the university, on April 30.
