Watch: Florida QB Anthony Richardson Reacts to Indianapolis NFL Draft Selection

Relive the moment when Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Colts got their guy.

Indianapolis made Anthony Richardson the second-highest drafted quarterback in University of Florida history on Thursday night, taking the Gators' dual-threat signal-caller with the fourth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Watch Richardson react to becoming the Colts' franchise quarterback below.

A product of Gainesville (Fla.) Eastside and native of Miami, Richardson enrolled in college 15 minutes down the road from where he played high school football.

He only started for one season and one additional game in 2021, and the results were mixed amid UF's coaching turnover, but Richardson displayed physical and athletic talent rarely if ever seen from a player at his position, warranting an early declaration for the pros.

The bet paid off on Thursday night.

Richardson completed 215-of-393 passes (54.7%) for 3,105 yards, 24 touchdowns and 15 interceptions in 24 games with the Gators, adding 1,116 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground. Florida put together a 6-6 record with Richardson as its starting quarterback in 2022 under first-year head coach Billy Napier, a season in which Richardson scored 26 total times.

He proceeded to dazzle at the Combine with record-breaking jumps for a quarterback and a 4.43-second 40-yard dash — at an astonishing 6-foot-4, 244 pounds.

The Colts, led by new head coach and former Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Shane Steichen, were fascinated by Richardson's potential and secured his services, making him the third passer off the board in the 2023 NFL Draft following Alabam's Bryce Young (Carolina Panthers) and Ohio State's C.J. Stroud (Houston Texans).
