Former Georgia Bulldogs linebacker and  consensus 2018 five-star prospect Brenton Cox Jr. ha transferred to Florida, per Scott Carter of FloridaGators.com

The 6-4, 247 lb. linebacker saw action in all 13 games for Georgia last year, racking up 20 total tackles (seven solo), a sack and two tackles for loss. He made one start, in the Sugar Bowl against the University of Texas.

Cox's eligibility has yet to be determined, and he will have to file a waiver with the NCAA and SEC.

Once he is able to see the field, expect Cox Jr. to immediately contribute in the team's pass rush, with little proven depth at the BUCK pass-rushing position and starter Jonathan Greenard not being eligible beyond 2019.
