Florida class of 2024 linebacker commitment Adarius Hayes will officially visit Miami this weekend, according to 247Sports.
A product of Largo (Fla.) High, Hayes has been verbally committed to Florida since Jan. 28, 2023.
But despite his near-year-long pledge to the Gators and public confirmations of his allegiance to the program, Hayes has flirted with the Hurricanes throughout his recruitment by visiting Miami multiple times this year, most recently for the team's matchup with Georgia Tech in October.
Comparatively, Florida received at least six visits from Hayes throughout the year, including trips to three games, the Gators' matchups with Tennessee, Arkansas and Florida State.
Hayes is considered to be the No. 7 linebacker and No. 69 overall prospect in the class of 2024 by the 247Sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound linebacker has been credited with making 389 tackles including 38 for loss, four sacks, two interceptions, nine defended passes and six forced fumbles over four varsity seasons with Largo.
Hayes is one of several Florida commitments expected to officially visit other programs this weekend. Safety Xavier Filsaime will make a short trip to Texas from the Dallas area, and edge rusher Amaris Williams will trek to Georgia.
The early signing period will begin next Wednesday and stretch between Dec. 20-22, 2023.
