Florida Makes Final Five for OT Blake Frazier
Florida is among the finalists for Austin (Texas) Vandegrift offensive tackle Blake Frazier, the class of 2024 prospect announced on Friday.
The Gators are joined by Michigan, LSU, Clemson and Texas on Frazier's list of remaining contenders in his recruitment.
Florida has quickly emerged as a legitimate contender for Frazier's services after sending a scholarship offer his way on Jan. 6. Frazier made the trek to Gainesville for his first visit with the Gators on Jan. 28.
Standing at 6-foot-6, 270 pounds, Frazier is considered the No. 15 offensive tackle and No. 204 overall prospect in the class of 2024, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. Primarily aligning at right tackle, Frazier earned All-District 25-6A First-Team honors for his performance as a junior in 2022.
Frazier is the son of former Michigan offensive lineman Steve Frazier, who played for the Wolverines from 1995-99.
Florida added tackles Caden Jones and Bryce Lovett, guard Knijeah Harris and center Roderick Kearney to its offensive line through the recruiting class of 2023, paired with transfers Micah Mazzccua, Damieon George Jr. and Kiyaunta Goodwin.
The Gators hope to continue stockpiling offensive line talent in the class of 2024, in an effort to build around elite quarterback pledge and fellow Lone Star State product DJ Lagway, and Frazier would be a welcome addition to the class in order to accomplish the feat.
