Carrollton (Ga.) High class of 2024 tight end Caleb Odom is officially visiting Florida this weekend, June 9-11, he shared via Twitter on Friday.

Florida is the second school Odom will have officially visited come the end of the weekend, after a three-day stay at the University of Alabama from June 2-4. His trip to UF will happen in place of a previously scheduled official visit to Penn State.

In the coming weeks, Odom will reportedly officially visit Auburn and Miami.

Odom recently included Florida in his top seven schools after leaving the program out of his April top 12. He credited new UF tight ends coach Russ Callaway for reigniting his interest in the Gators, particularly due to the assistant's vision for deploying the versatile pass-catcher in the offense.

"I was able to talk to [Callaway] and sit down with him," Odom told FanNation's Brooks Austin on May 16. "They want me to play X-receiver now too, and so that really kind of meant a lot."

Positional versatility and the opportunity to make an immediate impact will factor into the 6-foot-5, 215-pound recruit's eventual college decision.

"I see myself as being able to do both. Wherever I get the most playing time [and] wherever I can fit in and go, honestly," he explained. "I play X right now so that's why I feel more comfortable there now, obviously. But you know, just wherever I can see myself on the field a lot."

Odom, 6-foot-5, 215 pounds, is considered the No. 5 tight end and No. 85 overall prospect in the class of 2024 by the 247Sports composite rankings. He caught 63 passes for 1,121 yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior at Carrollton.
