With the high school football regular season now mostly in the rearview, All Gators has highlighted four prospects committed to Florida for standout performances near the end of their final campaigns as prep players.
Each of the four future Gators turned in single-game best performances or close to it to conclude their senior regular seasons.
Tawaski "TJ" Abrams, Fort Myers (Fla.) Dunbar High
Abrams' final regular season game of the year saw him hit a season-high mark in receiving yards with 91 on just three catches. He was able to find his way into the end zone and contribute to the Tigers' narrow, 18-15 victory over the Lehigh Lightning.
Abrams also chipped in 12 yards on four carries as he continues to be a multi-faceted weapon for Dunbar. After 10 games, the blue-chip receiver has been credited with 33 catches for 417 yards and five touchdowns, accompanied by 29 carries for 212 yards and another four scores.
Unfortunately, highlights are not currently available for Abrams' performance.
Dunbar will face Fort Myers (Fla.) High in a home playoff game on Nov. 10.
Jerrae Hawkins Jr., Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy
Though his opportunities were limited in IMG's 47-0 blowout win over St. Thomas More, Hawkins took full advantage of each that he was given.
The lightning-quick receiver only touched the ball three times on the night but took two of them into the end zone for scores. That included an 81-yard catch and run where he showed off his game-breaking top-end speed, effortless acceleration and ability to make people miss with subtle cuts.
Hawkins finished with two catches for 97 yards and a touchdown as well as a carry that he took 10 yards to pay dirt on an end around.
With one game remaining in IMG's season, Hawkins has so far garnered 476 yards and four touchdowns over 25 receptions, and two carries for 25 yards, both going for touchdowns. The Ascenders will face Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy on Nov. 17.
Amir Jackson, Portal (Ga.) High
The Portal Panthers closed out the regular season with a big upset win over the previously undefeated Jenkins County War Eagles, securing their first regional title in school history, thanks in no small part to Jackson's contributions.
Jackson caught a career-high 10 passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns, which included yet another impressive one-handed grab, something that seems to be a regular occurrence for the talented tight end. He also ran the ball one time for six yards.
Jackson finished the regular season with 38 catches for 593 yards and 10 touchdowns receiving to go with 200 yards and four touchdowns on 13 carries over nine games.
Portal has a home playoff game against Turner County on Nov. 10.
Izaiah Williams, Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day School
The Patriots closed out their regular season in impressive fashion, beating Gulliver Prep 41-14 in a showing that had multiple players eclipse the century mark in offensive production, including Williams.
The talented receiver reeled in five passes for 137 yards and a touchdown, just four yards shy of his career-high, a mark that was set earlier this year.
With just an eight-game schedule, Williams was able to amass 640 yards and seven touchdowns over 34 receptions.
Carrollwood Day will take on Northside Christian in a road playoff game on Nov. 17.
