Coveted Florida RB Commit Chauncey Bowens Sets Gators Official Visit

2024 running back and Gators commitment Chauncey Bowens will officially visit Florida and an SEC rival in June.

Gators class of 2024 running back commit Chauncey Bowens plans to officially visit Florida from June 16-18, according to Rivals

Bowens' latest trip to The Swamp will take place a week after he visits Florida's SEC rival Georgia Bulldogs, also on an official basis, from June 9-11. These are the only official visits currently on Bowens' schedule following his unofficial treks to both schools, plus Miami and Tennessee, during the spring.

The 5-foot-11, 219-pound Bowens, of North Palm Beach (Fla.) The Benjamin School, pledged to the Gators in Sept. 2022. He is one of two running backs committed to Florida in the class of 2024, joined by West Point (Miss.) High's Kahnen Daniels

The duo currently pairs with 2024 UF quarterback commitment and Willis (Texas) High product DJ Lagway as headlining members of Florida's future offense.

Learn more about Bowens from his All Gators biography below.

Bowens was Florida's first running back commitment in the class of 2024 and is on pace to be the second-longest-standing pledge of the haul. A bigger-bodied back with a 10.98-second 100-meter dash result to his name, he has rushed 318 times for 2,251 yards and 23 touchdowns in 21 prep appearances. Bowens' recruitment began to blow up after his pledge and 7.2-yards-per-carry junior year, as offers from schools such as Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M and Tennessee have trickled in since Dec. 2022.
