Highly rated class of 2025 interior offensive lineman Peyton Joseph is nearing his college decision. The long-time Gators' recruiting target has scheduled his commitment for Feb. 18 at 4 p.m. ET, with Florida, LSU, Florida State, Tennessee, Miami, Michigan and Penn State in contention for his services.

"THE WAIT IS OVER," Joseph wrote via social media on Friday.

Joseph emerged on the recruiting radar of Billy Napier's coaching staff during its inaugural season in Gainesville. A sophomore at the time, Joseph visited The Swamp for the Gators' 2022 campaign-opening upset victory over No. 7 Utah, Napier's first game in charge of the program.

He returned in 2023 to witness another toppling of a top-25 opponent by the unranked Gators, attending Florida's defeat of No. 11 Tennessee last September, where he continued to build relationships with Napier and UF offensive line coaches Rob Sale and Darnell Stapleton.

“My visit back to UF was amazing. The coaches were very welcoming toward my family and wanted to get [to] know about everything," Joseph said in Oct. 2023, via Gators Online. "Coach Sale is a great guy along with being a great coach. Coach Napier is one of a kind. He is a guy who is a man of his word, which amazed me.”

The 247Sports composite rankings consider Joseph as the No. 5 interior offensive lineman and No. 121 overall prospect in the class of 2025.

After garnering ample starting experience over two seasons at Fort Valley (Ga.) Peach County, where he played left and right guard as well as right tackle, Joseph transferred to Houston County High for the second half of his high school career in 2023.

Florida signed four offensive linemen in the 2024 recruiting class: Tackles Fletcher Westphal and Mike Williams, hybrid tackle/guard Marcus Mascoll and interior lineman Noel Portnjagin. The Gators also acquired two transfer tackles this winter, Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson from San Diego State and Devon Manuel from Arkansas.
