Former Gators quarterback signee Jaden Rashada has quickly identified his new home, committing to Arizona State on Wednesday after being released from his signed National Letter of Intent with Florida on Jan. 20. He is expected to sign with the Sun Devils on National Signing Day, which is today, Feb. 1.
Rashada's commitment to Florida fell apart as a result of a collapsed Name, Image and Likeness agreement between the star recruit and third parties surrounding UF athletics. He signed with the program on Dec. 21, 2022, but never enrolled at the university.

Following his release from UF, Rashada paid Arizona State — where his father, Harlen, played defensive back in the early 1990s — and TCU unofficial visits. New Sun Devils head coach Kenny Dillingham was able to lure the quarterback into a legacy commitment.
Rashada, a product of Pittsburg (Calif.) High, is considered the No. 4 quarterback and No. 10 overall prospect in the class of 2023, according to the SI99 rankings.
In four varsity seasons, Rashada completed 59.8 percent of his passes for 5,816 yards, 70 touchdowns and 24 interceptions, adding 592 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground.
Florida will move forward without a class of 2023 quarterback signee, although the Gators welcomed Wisconsin transfer Graham Mertz and walk-on recruits Parker Leise and Jordan Gile to close out the cycle.
