Florida entered the race for Grimsley's talents by presenting him with an offer on March 23. Grimsley quickly made his way to Gainesville for an unofficial visit on April 8 and bonded with head coach Billy Napier, defensive backs coach Corey Raymond and wide receivers coach Billy Gonzales.

Grimsley has scheduled official visits to North Carolina (June 2-4), Penn State (June 9-11), Florida State (June 11-13), Alabama (June 16-18) and Michigan (June 23-25).

The 247Sports composite rankings consider Grimsley, 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, to be the No. 19 cornerback and No. 230 overall prospect in the class of 2024.

Grimsley hauled in 25 receptions for 356 yards and three touchdowns as a wide receiver and posted 10 tackles, one interception and one pass breakup as a defensive back during his junior season at Tampa (Fla.) Bloomingdale.

A two-sport athlete, Grimsley also runs track. He produced personal bests in the 100-meter dash (10.94 seconds) and 200-meter dash (21.89 seconds) in 2023.
