Elite WR Jeremiah Smith to Visit Florida in Week 4

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- All Gators can confirm that Hollywood (Fla) Chaminade-Madonna wide receiver and Ohio State commitment Jeremiah Smith is expected to unofficially visit Florida for its Week 4 matchup with Charlotte on Saturday.
Blake Alderman of Swamp247 was the first to report Smith's looming trip to Gainesville.
Despite his Dec. 2022 pledge to the Buckeyes. Smith has extended his Gators recruitment well into this year. He has since visited Gainesville twice, unofficially in March and officially in June, joined by prized Florida quarterback commitment DJ Lagway during his three-day summer stay.
“It was good,” Lagway told All Gators about his visit alongside Smith. “You know, we spent a lot of time [together]. I feel like I have a relationship with him. He's a very quiet guy, but I feel like, with me and him, he opens up to me a little bit. We talk and just talk about some good stuff.”
Smith has long been considered the top wide receiver prospect in the class of 2024 and has garnered praise as one of the better pass-catching prospects in recent memory by some recruiting analysts.
Following his explosive 58-reception, 1,073-yard, 20-touchdown junior campaign, Smith began his senior season with 33 receptions for 516 yards and seven touchdowns in four games. While his Week 5 stats aren't currently available, he produced the following highlight-worthy play versus Miami (Fla.) Central on Thursday night.
