Elite LB Aaron Chiles Commits to the Gators

The Florida Gators land yet another prospect on Saturday as elite linebacker Aaron Chiles aligns himself with the program.

Make it four.

The Florida Gators are red hot in their final weekend of scheduled official visitors this summer, pulling in four commitments from those enjoying their multi-day stay in Gainesville.

After adding Amir Jackson, Amaris Williams and Nasir Johnson, Our Lady Good Counsel (Olney, Md.) linebacker Aaron Chiles joined the fold when he shared his loyalty to the program late Saturday evening.

He chose Florida over Maryland and Michigan, who held spots in the top three he released on May 9.

The run on talent has quickly become one of the best recruiting stretches under head coach Billy Napier during his tenure at Florida.

Jay Bateman, the Gators top recruiting assistant to this point in the cycle, is largely to thank for that surge, especially as it pertains to Chiles.

Despite holding two second-level defenders in Myles Graham and Adarius Hayes — and thought to be in the lead leading for another DMV-area prospect in Fairfax (Va.) LB Kristopher Jones — Bateman remained steadfast in the recruitment of one of the top-ranked WILL ‘backers in the cycle.

He’s the No. 1 ranked player in the state of Maryland, No. 6 LB and a top-80 prospect overall, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings.

Each of Florida’s five new additions rest within the top 250 of prospects in 2024.

Chiles is the 13th recruit to pledge to the Gators this cycle, and the third defender to do so on Saturday.
