Longtime Gators LB Pledge Relocating to Gainesville for Senior Season
Florida's longest-tenured commit in the 2024 recruiting class, linebacker Myles Graham, inched one step closer to campus on Monday as he announced that he will be attending Buchholz High School in Gainesville for his senior year.
"For my final year of high school, I will be attending Buchholz High School," Graham said in a post to Twitter. "Go Bobcats!"
The former Woodward Academy (Winter Park, Ga.) standout, and son of former Florida running back Earnest Graham, will align alongside fellow Gators pledge Kendall Jackson in the Bobcats' defense for the 2023 campaign.
Graham's transfer is his third in as many seasons, playing for the Evangelical Christian School in Fort Myers (Fla.) in 2021 before transferring to Woodward as a junior. He's proven to be an uber-productive second-level defender at each stop, compiling 130 tackles (three for loss) as a sophomore before adding 63 tackles (six for loss) and five sacks with a diversified role in 2022.
Displaying impressive athleticism — exemplified by his ability to double as a running back — surefire tackling and a 6-foot-1, 210-pound frame, Graham is expected to operate in the weakside linebacker role currently occupied by rising sophomore Shemar James in the Gators' defense.
Those talents will now be displayed just a short drive from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Friday nights this fall.
As a result of Graham's relocation to Gainesville, the Gators will now have one of its most prominent player recruiters close to campus for the entirety of the 2023 season. Billy Napier and Co. will likely use that to their advantage, keeping the borderline five-star prospect around the program as they attempt to reel in the final desired members of the cycle.
Graham is expected to enter the fold with fellow 2024 pledges Aaron Chiles and Adarius Hayes, giving linebackers coach Jay Bateman one of the best position hauls in the country in 2024.
