Boireau is back.

Hampton (Ga.) Creekside defensive lineman Michai Boireau — who decommitted from Florida on Sept. 11 — rejoined the Gators’ 2024 recruiting class on Saturday.

“Gator Nation, I’m back,” Boireau said in his commitment note. “My bad for leaving, [but] I want y’all to know I’m back for good!!!”

Presenting intimidating size for an interior defensive lineman at 6-foot-4.75, 378 pounds, power and nimbleness, the Peach State prospect possesses the traits needed to be a dominant anchor in the middle of Austin Armstrong's defense in the future.

He produced 43 tackles, seven for loss, four sacks and three quarterback hits as a junior from his nose tackle spot, according to MaxPreps.

As a result, despite his decision to back off his nearly three-month-long summertime pledge, the Gators remained steadfast in their pursuit of the uber-talented nose tackle who is largely considered an underrated commodity in the 2024 cycle.

Florida's maintained recruiting efforts paid dividends on Saturday as he elected to realign himself with the Gators despite the recent release of defensive line coach Sean Spencer.

Boireau joins LJ McCray, Amaris Williams and Kendall Jackson in the 2024 class along the defensive front, providing a much-needed interior piece to the unit amid the search for a position coach replacement.

Florida — once claiming the No. 3 spot at the peak of its recruiting momentum — moves forward as the No. 4 recruiting class in the cycle, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
