IMG Academy IOL Kaden Strayhorn Names Florida Gators to Top 12
Gators interior offensive line target Kaden Strayhorn included Florida in his top 12 on Saturday afternoon.
He placed UF alongside Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Ohio State, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas and USC as the teams moving forward in contention for his services.
The IMG Academy trenchman expressed considerable interest in the Gators program earlier this spring following a February return visit to Gainesville. His introductory trek to campus came on Sept. 16 for Florida’s upset win over No. 11 Tennessee in Week 3 of the 2023 campaign.
His rapport with offensive line coach Rob Sale — who currently operates alone following the departure of assistant Darnell Stapleton to the Washington Commanders this offseason — positions the Gators among the upper echelon of programs in pursuit of Strayhorn.
Currently, according to On3 Sports’ prediction machine, the Gators are tied-fourth with Texas in the race for the Novi, Michigan, native behind home state schools Michigan State and Michigan as well as national powerhouse Alabama.
Strayhorn hasn’t announced a timetable for his commitment, but Florida is trending up the ladder to be a firm contender when the time comes.
UF vies to lock in an official visit with the nation’s No. 20 iOL and No. 380 overall prospect in 2025 for this summer.
The Gators hold one pledge on the offensive line in Peyton Joseph — a top seven iOL prospect from Warner Robins, Ga.
