Junior college transfer edge rusher Quincy Ivory announced on Tuesday that he will officially visit Florida from June 9-11.

The announcement served as the first public indication that Ivory, originally a class of 2020 prospect from Spring (Texas) Legacy the School of Sport Sciences and a product of East Los Angeles College, is a transfer of interest for the Gators this offseason.

In between high school and his most recent program, Ivory spent two years at Mississippi Valley State, listed then as a 6-foot-4, 215-pound quarterback. But he has moved to the defensive side of the ball since and served as an edge rusher for East Los Angeles during his time out west.

Now claiming to be 6-foot-5, 255 pounds, Ivory produced 22 total tackles, 8.5 sacks, 12.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and five pass breakups in ten games during a breakout 2022 campaign. He also completed 13-of-29 passes for 100 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions last season.

Since the calendar turned to 2023, Ivory has self-reported FBS transfer offers from Fresno State, Akron, San Jose State, Bowling Green State, UNLV, USF, UNC-Charlotte, San Diego State and Marshall.

Florida has two scholarship openings on its 2023 football roster and appears to have identified Ivory as a potential suitor for one of the spots. Of the program's 47 expected official visitors coming in the month of June, Ivory will be the only transfer prospect in town.
