After an eventful week one of high school football, which featured several Florida Gators commits at the forefront, week two of the prep slate brought similar results, as one future UF skill position player and a hard-hitting second-level defender shined in their team's respective contests.

All Gators put together a recruit spotlight highlighting those commits and how they performed in this week's matchups.

Kahnen Daniels, West Point (Miss.)

The standout performer from the Gators commit list in week two of the high school season was West Point (Miss.) standout running back Kahnen Daniels

Though Daniels and his Green Wave teammates fell short on the scoreboard, 39-28, the talented ball carrier prospect did everything he could to put his team on the winning side of their matchup with Starkville High. Daniels carried the ball 16 times, racking up 281 yards and three touchdowns. The 17.6 yards per carry that Daniels produced on Friday night easily eclipses the 10 yards per carry he tallied last year as a junior.

With continued performances like this, Daniels could surpass the gaudy season total of 2,032 yards and 24 scores he put up a year ago.

All Gators will undoubtedly monitor Daniels' progress toward that mark as the season progresses.

Here is more about what Daniels brings to the table from his All Gators' scouting profile:

Daniels committed to the Gators over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&M, Mississippi State and Oregon among other programs. A do-it-all talent for his high school, Daniels aligned as a true running back (although less often than in other capacities), Wildcat quarterback and even wide receiver in order to get the ball into his hands during his junior 2022 season. The results were 2,032 rushing yards, 24 touchdowns and ten yards per carry on average.

Adarius Hayes, Largo (Fla.)

The Gators linebacker commit was all over the field on Friday night for the Packers, defense racking up 17 tackles and one for loss on the night.

While his team couldn't come away with a victory, Hayes made sure the Lakeland ball carriers knew who and what he was: A tackling machine.

Hayes has been given the nickname "Hitman" due to his ability to deliver punishing blows when he arrives at the contact point, and this past week was no different. He lived up to the moniker.

Hayes has a unique blend of size and athleticism, making him a nightmare for opposing ball carriers when they meet him in the hole. And, for the second time in as many weeks, he has separated a running back from his helmet with a bone-jarring hit seen below.

While Myles Graham is slated to play on the weak side, the long-limbed Hayes is viewed as a middle linebacker with edge-rushing potential in sub-packages given his build and athleticism. He's produced a whopping 281 total tackles, at least three sacks, 35 tackles for loss, at least one interception, eight defended passes and six forced fumbles in three seasons for Largo. Hayes' HUDL film signals that his sack and interception counts are underreported.
