Titus Bullard, a class of 2024 edge rusher from Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep and the son of former Gators defensive end and superstar professional wrestler Titus O'Neil, announced his commitment to Florida on Tuesday.

"Thanks to my coaches, teammates and fam. Helped me become the person I am," Bullard wrote via social media. "All Glory to God, He is major. Thanks to him, I am now a Florida Gator."

Bullard will join the Gators as a preferred walk-on, electing to align with his father's alma mater over FBS offers from Liberty, Toledo, Buffalo and Georgia Southern.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Bullard recorded 117 total tackles with 39 for loss and 17.5 sacks over three seasons as a consistent varsity contributor at Berkeley Prep.

He posted a sack and five tackles during his freshman year, foreshadowing a productive career at the prep level.

Bullard’s father, whose real name is Thaddeus Bullard, attended Florida from 1996-2000. He saw action in 44 career contests, including three starts, at defensive end during his time in Gainesville before cashing in on his collegiate success with a four-year stint in the Arena Football League from 2003-2007.

O’Neil then kickstarted his professional wrestling in the WWE three years later. He is most well-known for his tag-team work alongside Darren Young (Frederick Rosser III) as part of The Prime Time Players. The entertaining duo captured WWE Tag Team Championship gold once after defeating The New Day — a highly regarded faction containing the likes of Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E — at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view in 2015.

The reign lasted for 70 days, marking the peak of O’Neil’s sports entertainment career, which ranged from 2010-2019. He’s appeared sparingly since his full-time stint with the company ended, memorably performing as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble and on commentary in recent years.

He now serves as the Global Ambassador for the WWE.

O’Neil took to X to congratulate his son on the pledge to his alma mater.

"Today is another #ProudDad moment, as my youngest son [Titus] has officially announced that he is committed to continuing his academic and athletic career at UF and will be playing football for [the Gators]," O'Neil said. "I’m proud to see your hard work pay off!! Love you son. Go Gators."

He’s remained steadfast in his support of the University of Florida since his departure from the program in 2000, appearing frequently as a promotional speaker and as a spectator on the sidelines for Gators’ home games.

The younger Bullard looks to continue the family legacy as he begins his new chapter at UF ahead of the 2024 campaign.
