Another decision day in a recruitment Florida is connected to has arrived.

Gators defensive line target Kendall Jackson will be going live on Instagram to announce his collegiate commitment on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. EST, he confirmed with All Gators on Tuesday evening. The stream for Jackson's pledge can be accessed here

Previously setting July 21 as his pledge date — after floating the idea of dragging it out until August — to grow "bigger, faster and stronger" before his senior year, Jackson will officially end his recruitment process on Wednesday, choosing from an unofficial top four of Florida, Arkansas, Kentucky and Miami.

Standing at 6-foot-4, 250 pounds, Jackson has the flexibility to align at any position along the Buchholz front, something the Bobcats took full advantage of during his junior campaign. He compiled 65 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, three pass breakups, two interceptions and a pick-six touchdown to piece together his most dominant season to date.

Affirming his worth to the high-tier power five programs in pursuit of his services, Jackson earned the strong push of his hometown Gators squad, with edge rushers coach Mike Peterson leading the charge.

His official visit to Florida June 2-4 placed Billy Napier's team in the driver's seat for his eventual pledge, he told All Gators after the short trip to campus. It presumably remains at the wheel of his recruitment heading into his 4:30 p.m. EST commitment via Instagram Live.

The Gators have emphasized the defensive trenches throughout this cycle, already holding three pledges from DE Amaris Williams and interior linemen Nasir Johnson and Michai Boireau. Jamonta Waller, a standup edge prospect, raises that total to four if he's counted as an extension of the front.

Could the Gators be getting more reinforcements in the trenches, or will an SEC foe or in-state rival pluck Jackson away from the longtime favorites?
