Twelve schools are advancing in contention for five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham, the Choctaw County (Ackerman, Miss.) High School pass-catcher shared on Monday.

Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Tennessee are the programs he will focus on moving forward.

He's considered the No. 2 wide receiver and No. 11 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class, per 247Sports' Composite rankings.

Standing at 6-foot-3, 180 pounds, Cunningham sports a prototypical X-receiver build to pair with sure hands and a far-reaching catch radius. He excels as a jump-ball target in short-yardage and red-zone situations at the prep level, often earning looks when working in man-to-man coverage on the boundary on fade routes inside the red zone for the Chargers.

However, he isn't limited to that role.

His athleticism extends beyond his ability to high-point the football, as he has the potential to turn routine receptions into chunk gains or even scores due to his impressive long speed and lateral quickness for his size.

The news of his top 12 comes just before Cunningham's return visit to the University of Florida on Feb. 3.

Replenishing talent at skill positions is imperative for the Gators this cycle as they aim to equip prized class of 2024 quarterback DJ Lagway with a plethora of capable weapons when he expectedly takes over control of the offense in 2025.

Florida notably vies to add more X-receiver types during the 2025 cycle after replenishing the room with Z and slot wideouts over the past two classes. Thus, building a strong foundational rapport with one of the top-rated offensive prospects in the country is paramount for head coach and offensive play caller Billy Napier, wide receivers coach Billy Gonzales and Co. when Cunningham treks to campus this weekend.

Cunningham sits alongside Mandarin High School's (Jacksonville, Fla.) Jamie Ffrench atop Gonzales' presumed wishlist of targets for his position at this stage.

Florida currently holds three commitments in the 2025 recruiting cycle: Plant High (Tampa, Fla.) running back Waltez Clark, Woodward Academy (Atlanta, Ga.) wide receiver Josiah Abdullah and John Rickards High (Tallahassee, Fla.) edge rusher Jalen Wiggins.
