Florida State Basketball Changes Tip-Off Time Due To Orange Bowl Game Against Georgia

The Seminoles will take on Lipscomb at an earlier time in order for fans to watch the football team take on Georgia later that same day.

There are less than three weeks remaining until the Seminoles and Bulldogs match up in the 90th annual Orange Bowl in Hard Rock Stadium. Both teams are still ironing out their respective rosters with a number of transfers and NFL declarations on each side.

Ahead of the contest, the Florida State men's basketball team has come to an agreement to change the tip-off time for its home game against Lipscomb that falls on the same day - Saturday, December 30. The Seminoles and Bisons are moving the action up to 12:00 p.m. from 4:00 p.m. so that fans are able to support both athletic programs.

FSU leads the all-time series against Lipscomb 2-1 after winning the most recent matchup, 97-60, in 2021. The Bisons have won seven of their last 10 games after starting the 2023-24 season 0-2. The team sports three double-digit scorers, including graduate transfer guard Derrin Boyd, who is averaging 17.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.3 steals in 29.1 minutes per game.
