Florida State Basketball Changes Tip-Off Time Due To Orange Bowl Game Against Georgia
There are less than three weeks remaining until the Seminoles and Bulldogs match up in the 90th annual Orange Bowl in Hard Rock Stadium. Both teams are still ironing out their respective rosters with a number of transfers and NFL declarations on each side.
Ahead of the contest, the Florida State men's basketball team has come to an agreement to change the tip-off time for its home game against Lipscomb that falls on the same day - Saturday, December 30. The Seminoles and Bisons are moving the action up to 12:00 p.m. from 4:00 p.m. so that fans are able to support both athletic programs.
FSU leads the all-time series against Lipscomb 2-1 after winning the most recent matchup, 97-60, in 2021. The Bisons have won seven of their last 10 games after starting the 2023-24 season 0-2. The team sports three double-digit scorers, including graduate transfer guard Derrin Boyd, who is averaging 17.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.3 steals in 29.1 minutes per game.
FSU Defensive Tackle Vying For Seventh Year Of Eligibility To Return In 2024
The Seminoles have dropped three consecutive games after blowing double-digit leads against Georgia and North Carolina before being handled by USF. The team started off 4-1 but now finds itself back at .500 in the aftermath of losing redshirt senior guard Cam'Ron Fletcher to another season-ending injury.
Leonard Hamilton and Florida State will look to get back on track when the team returns to action against SMU on Saturday, December 16. The game will tip off at 8:00 p.m. and will be televised on the ACC Network.
