Five-Star Wide Receiver Schedules Summer Official Visit To FSU Football
Florida State's rise back to the top of college football has the program in the running for some of the most highly-regarded recruits in the country. The Seminoles only hold four verbal commitments at the beginning of April but there is still plenty of time for #Tribe25 to develop into an elite haul for head coach Mike Norvell and his staff in Tallahassee.
The wide receiver board is in the process of shaking itself out but one of the top names to know is five-star prospect Kaliq Lockett. After visiting Florida State for a junior day in March, Lockett has seen enough to lock in an official visit for this summer. He informed NoleGameday on Tuesday evening that he plans to be in town from June 14-16.

The Seminoles are a legitimate option for the Lone Star State native. It won't be an easy battle by any means with programs such as Texas, LSU, and USC also making their pitches to Lockett. He's expected to officially visit that trio of programs as well with the hometown Longhorns possibly holding a slight edge in his recruitment. However, it's certainly encouraging that one visit to town has Florida State high on his list.
"Florida State is really high on my list. They're one of the schools I'm seriously considering," Lockett said to NoleGameday.
Lockett is coming off a productive junior campaign where he reeled in 59 receptions for 1,299 yards and 13 touchdowns, averaging 22 yards per catch. He also participates in track and field and ran an 11.54-second 100-meter dash as a freshman and a 20-11.5 long jump as a sophomore.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pound wide receiver is regarded as the No. 11 overall prospect, the No. 2 WR, and the No. 3 recruit in the state of Texas in the 2025 class according to 247Sports.
#Tribe25 ranks No. 25 in the country and is made up of four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., four-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas, four-star defensive end Javion Hilson, and three-star linebacker Ethan Pritchard.
