BREAKING: Florida State Remains In Top-4 Of Latest College Football Playoff Rankings

The Seminoles continue to be regarded as a team worthy of a playoff berth according to the committee.

Pretty or ugly, Florida State continues to stack up victories during its 2023 campaign and now sits at 10-0 after defeating Miami once again. The Seminoles trailed in the third quarter before outscoring the Hurricanes 17-7 the remainder of the game to pull out a hard-fought win over a bitter rival.

Despite not covering the 14-point spread, the playoff committee did not drop FSU for the win. On Tuesday night, the latest College Football Playoff Rankings were debuted live on ESPN ahead of Week 12. The Seminoles stayed at No. 4 in the country, meaning if the postseason began today, the team would be in the playoffs.

The top six were made up of No. 1 Georgia, No. 2 Ohio State, No. 3 Michigan, No. 4 Florida State, No. 5 Washington, and No. 6 Oregon. That means the Bulldogs would be matching up with the Seminoles while the Buckeyes and Wolverines would face off to decide who makes the national championship game. The Huskies and Ducks would be the first two teams on the outside of the playoff bubble.

Other notable teams inside the CFP top-25 rankings include No. 15 LSU and No. 10 Louisville. Florida State holds a 45-24 victory over the Tigers, who snapped a three-game losing streak over the weekend by beating the Florida Gators. The Cardinals have an opportunity to clinch a berth in the ACC Championship with a win over Miami on Saturday.

Outside of their selection in the CFP rankings, Florida State slotted in at No. 4 in the Associated Press poll and Coaches Poll this week. The Seminoles secured their 50th bowl appearance in program history earlier this year and stamped their ticket to Charlotte for the first time since 2014.

FSU has won 16 consecutive games dating back to last season, the third-longest streak in the nation. The Seminoles have been ranked in the top 5 for eleven consecutive weeks and haven't allowed an opponent to score 30 points this year.

Florida State continues its regular season with the home finale against the North Alabama Lions on Saturday evening. The game will kick off at 6:30 p.m. on The CW Network in Doak Campbell Stadium.
