The college football world has been left with glaring question marks as 2023 ends. Michigan was crowned with another National Championship amidst an ongoing scandal. The SEC was ousted from a self-proclaimed throne of national contention despite an overwhelming political campaign by ESPN throughout the year. Florida State dealt with a historic snub after a perfect 13-0 season. 'Lackluster' might not be the best word to describe a year in review as everyone packs up their ferns and ornaments, wondering what's happened over the past few weeks - but it fits.

As dissatisfying as the end of the year was for football fans, with lines drawn in the sand, some have overstepped, and the effect has been snowballing.

The College Football Playoff Committee has reportedly been receiving death threats, and the FBI has gotten involved; some will question the validity of anything that ESPN says in pursuit of viewership, but the CFP continues to garner attention from the federal eye.

The stance of lighting something on fire and pointing at it like you don't understand what is going on is laughable. Still, it is also important to remember that this is a sport played by young aspiring adults, and despite the millions of dollars at hand, death threats and otherwise aren't what anyone wants this to become.

The Seminoles are moving forward and currently hold the No. 7 recruiting class, according to 247Sports. Their next game will be the 2024 Aer Lingus Classic in Dublin, Ireland on August 24.
