College Football World Reacts to FSU Star Jordan Travis' Shocking Injury
It started off as a night of celebration, as FSU quarterback Jordan Travis and the rest of the senior athletes were recognized in a pregame senior night ceremony. While Travis was off to a slow start, going 2-4 in the passing game, he quickly turned the tides with a massive 16-yard yard run late in the first quarter giving the Seminoles a much-needed first down.
While all seemed to be going well for the 'Noles early in the moment, Travis remained on the ground after a big hit and was unable to get up. As players and staff members from both teams rushed over to Travis, things appeared more serious for the quarterback.
As Travis was getting up with aid from various members of the Florida State medical and coaching staff, he was carted away with a sold-out Doak Campell Stadium cheering him on chanting his name one last time.
As he exits Bobby Bowden Field for the final time, Travis has cemented himself as an all-time FSU great, holding the program record for total touchdowns with 97, having passed former Heisman Trophy winner and national champion Chris Weinke's 81 touchdowns earlier this season.
As a major asset to the program, proving himself to be one of the best players in the country, it is no surprise the injury has not only shocked FSU fans, but everyone in the college football world as well.
