The two teams who get a chance to compete for it all on January 8 will be the Michigan Wolverines and the Washington Huskies. Ahead of the National Championship Game, ESPN released the latest edition of its Top 25 Football Power Index (FPI), and Florida State fell two spots from No. 11 to No. 13 which remains the top ranking in the ACC.

Georgia Bulldogs moved up four spots and now sit at No. 4, Michigan Wolverines sits at No. 1 with a 75 percent chance to win the National Championship, with the two teams that jumped FSU in the playoff rankings, Alabama and Texas, sitting at No. 6 and No. 7. Washington sits at No. 12 with a 25 percent chance to take home a National Title. The final AP Polls are set to be released after the National Championship Game.

Florida State ranks 10th in overall efficiency with the offense coming in at No. 21, special teams 26th, and the defense coming in at No. 6.

ESPN introduced the Football Power Index (FPI) in 2013 to assess each team's overall strength and forecast results throughout the season. As the schedule advances, a team's FPI ranking is determined using data from the games played, while also predicting outcomes for upcoming matchups.
